He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Shumate; his grandchildren, Abby Shumate, Jake Shumate, Taylor Pruitt and Breanna Pruitt; his great grandchild Kylie Kincaid; and his siblings, Mary Stroman and Alvin Kyzer (Diane).
