He was predeceased by: his parent Woodrow B.; and his brothers, Harold Staggs and William Staggs. He is survived by: his parent Pauline Poole Staggs; his brother Kenneth Staggs of Pauline; his sister-in-law Vicky Staggs of Pauline; and also, Linda Staggs of Spartanburg, Martha Kelly and Jim Kelly of Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson Association, 2101 Sardis Road, North, Suite 102, Box 15, Charlotte, NC 28227.
