He was predeceased by: his parents, Baron Simpson and Elizabeth Peeples Smith; and his wife Imogene Counts. He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Jean Fulmer (Johnny) and Mary Jo Dyches (Dal); his grandchildren, Neil Fulmer (Kristy), Kim Stoudemire (Lee), Mary Margaret Bates (Wiggins) and Joanna Dyches; his great grandchildren, Nathan Fulmer, Landon Stoudemire and Chloe Stoudemire; his sister Mary McLendon of Guyton, GA; and his grandchildren, John Thomas Altman, Caroline Altman and Phillip Curcio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
