He is survived by: his wife Susan Floyd Emerson of Pawleys Island; his sons, Thomas Heyward Emerson, Jr. (Cristina) of Lexington, SC and Mark Davis Emerson (Stephanie) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his siblings, Alice Emerson Hovis (Steve) of Rock Hill, SC, Ken Emerson (Jane) of Hamer, SC and Julian Emerson of Florence; and his grandchildren, Thomas Heyward Emerson, III of Lexington, SC, Sofia Emerson of Lexington, SC and Sada Emerson of Mt. Pleasant.
