He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cyrus Gregg and Jannie Bell Gregg (Thompson); his brothers, Roger and Napoleon Thompson; his wife Elaine Thompson (Funny) of Pawleys Island; his daughter Iaishia Bethea of North Carolina; his stepdaughters, Dana Funny of Pawleys Island, Crystal Anderson of Georgetown and Anasthia Funny of Columbia; his sister Suzette Thompson of Florence; and his close friends, George Pickett and Jerry Sanders. He was also cherished by extended family and many supportive friends.
