It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Paul Heaton of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, who passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Heaton and Hazel Heaton; and his siblings, Frank, James, Harry, Annabelle, Corinth, Betty Sue, Eloise, Bill and Ed.

He is survived by: his wife Fran; his sons, Mike (Beth) and Rusty of Richmond, Virginia.; his grandsons, Reid and Michael (Jill); his great grandchildren, Paul William, Elin Jane and Miles Joseph; and his brother Rob (Brickie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as countless extended family and friends.
