He is survived by: his family John Henry; his brother Ralph Clayton "Clay" Whitmire (Lynn) of Indianapolis, Indiana.; his nephews, Andrew Whitmire (Leah) and Matthew Whitmire (Daphne); his great-nieces, Kate and Kendall Whitmire; and his great-nephew Will Whitmire.
