He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Sturm and Edna Orman Sturm; and his brother Byron Sturm. He is survived by: his wife Debrah M. Sturm; his children, Erin Kummet (Blaine) of Lawrenceville, GA and Kevin Sturm (Kristie) of Charlotte, NC; his stepson Kenneth Myers (Marci) of Fowler, MI; his grandchildren, Sophia Hammond, Noah Sturm, Sydney Sturm, Samson Sturm, Gabriel Myers and Nathaniel Myers; and his sister-in-law Beverly Sturm. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
