He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sandra Elaine Port Strickland; his parents, James Howard Smith and Lillie Vonn Edge Smith; his sons, Christopher Jerald Strickland (Tammy) of Pawleys Island, Jay Strickland, Jr. (Leslie) of Georgetown and James Joseph Strickland of Pawleys Island; his grandchildren, Bailey Katherine Strickland, Peyton Miles Strickland, Tyler Joseph Strickland and Mackenzie Kay Strickland; and his sister Patsy Smith Shirer of Georgetown. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
