He was predeceased by: his parent Melvin E.; and also Robert K. Dias. He is survived by: his parent Virginia Allford Dias; his wife Mimi Dias; his sons, Nathan W. Dias of Charleston and Aaron R. Dias of Charleston; his brother Richard K. Dias of Pawley; and also, Jane C. Dias, Julie B. Dias, Carol F., Donald L. Fowler, William W. Fick, Sarah C. Fick, Jenness F., Dacre C. Stoker and Lucia F. Carroll. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
