She was predeceased by: her husband Leon W. Faris of Pawley's Island; her parents, Cora Tackett, and Earl Tackett, Jr.; her sister Patricia Taylor; and her son Bill Faris (Jackie).
She is survived by: her sister Sandra Smith (Mitchell); her children, Margrace Faris (Joey), Candace Boston, Lorraine Broadway (Kevin), Becky Boston, Leon W. Faris, III (Lisa), Kelly Faris (Siby) and Bobby Faris (Vickie); her grandchildren, Travis Watson, Laura Grace Faris, Leon Faris IV, Chad Faris, Megan Nesbitt, Patrick McKenzie, Justin McKenzie, Kelsie Pennington, Faris Broadway and Stone Broadway, II; and her great grandchildren, Hank, Jack, Cam, Lewis, Kayden, Cooper, Armor-Marie, Amanda, Kade, Kennedy and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her family grew to include numerous nieces, nephews and close family friends.
Throughout her career, she received numerous awards including recognition for her contributions to the design and installation of the USPS computer program still in use today.
