She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Albert Pate, Jr. and Frances Scott Veirs; her husband Louis Laval Hamby, Jr.; her children, Sarah Allan Hamby, Louis Laval Hamby III (Jennie Bateson Hamby) and Suzanne Hamby Berardinelli (Caesar Berardinelli); her grandchildren, Allan Scott Hamby (Jenny Alexsandra Hamby) and Louisa Laval Hamby; and her great grandchildren, Wyatt Scott Hamby and Sabrina Elise Hamby.
