He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy McCants and Ruby McCants; his brother Wyatt McCants; and his former wife Nancy Jane Simpkins McCants. He is survived by: his wife Jacquelyn Vaughn McCants of Pawleys Island; his daughters, Alyne Kimberly McCants Conder of Pawleys Island and Ashley Jane McCants of Moultrie, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Emily Brooks Conder and John Walter Conder V.
