Carol Crompton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2019, at the age of 96, Carol Crompton (Pawleys Island, South Carolina), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Farren and Antonia Farren (Pincik); her husband Col. Wallace Crompton; her daughter-in-law Bannie Crompton (Robbie); and her granddaughter Samantha Crompton-Owens.
She is survived by: her sisters, Dorothy Redamer and Phyllis Iacampo; her children, Janis Utley (Rod), Karen Stanson (Bill), Richard Crompton (Linda) and Robbie Crompton (Meg); her great grandchildren, Ella Hackstadt, Triana Andreason, Alyson, Cooper Hopkins, John Stanson, Nicholas, Tanner Howard, Zachary Owens, Jackson Crompton, Ryan, Ella Crompton, Madelyn, Calin and Everly Luers; and also, Aaron Hackstadt, Jaime Andreason, Carolyn Hopkins, Cheryl Stanson, Jennifer Howard, Jason Crompton, Bob Crompton and Leea Luers. She is also survived by her spouse and 4 children.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory can be made to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, which supports the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
