He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bryce and Lois Shoen Rexroat; his brother Alec John Rexroat; and his stepfather Clint Riley. He is survived by: his wife Anne Kendall Rexroat; his daughter Kelly Rexroat; his sister Faith Harrop; his stepsister Pam Dyer; his stepchildren, John W. Hughes IV (Amy) and Kendall Hughes Grigg (Jeremey); and his grandchildren, Austen Hughes Covelo (Kevin), Skyllar Hughes, Vaden Grigg and Jack Grigg.
