Though Michael may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his children, Chad Cartee and Chrissy Cartee-Hood; his parents, Gus Leonard Cartee and Mary Alice Wells; and his brother Furman Cartee.
He is survived by: his former wife Diane Cartee-Drake of Wellford; his grandchildren, Justin Cartee of Spartanburg, Courtney Cartee of Spartanburg and Jordyn Hood of Pauline; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Cartee and Reign Gunn.
