He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Blease and Pauline Poole Staggs; his siblings, Harold, John Staggs and Linda Staggs; and his godson Matthew Cudd.
He is survived by: his wife Vicky Wyatt Staggs; his sister Martha Kelly (Jim) of Texas; his children, Sandy Staggs and Susan Staggs of Spartanburg; his godchildren, Michael Cudd of Woodruff, Leighton, Kaylie and Spencer; and his close friend Joe Brown of Chesnee.
