She was predeceased by: her husband James P. Lay; her parents, John Lewis and Bertha Hall Harden; her son Jim Lay; and her granddaughter Jessica Lay.
She is survived by: her daughter Wanda Mitchell (Ed) of Spartanburg; and her grandchildren, Barry Mitchell (Leah), Brent Mitchell (Joan), Bart Mitchell (Jody), Melissa Lay, Christopher Lay (Amy) and Jennifer White (Michael). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and one great greatgrandchild.
