It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry Edwin Rakes of Pauline, South Carolina, born in Borger, Texas, who passed away on March 18, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Lewis and Christine LaVerne Crowl Rakes; and his brother Ray Rakes (Jodi). He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Gault Rakes; his children, Timothy Rakes of Jacksonville, Florida and Misty Kelly (Todd) of Kingsland, Georgia; his stepdaughter Jenny Gault Bogan (Randy) of Woodruff; and his siblings, Travis Rakes (Kay) of Ocala and Wanda Bunk. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and their spouses, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 step-granddaughters.
