He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Willis Smith; his parents, Horace B. Smith, Sr. and Mary Lou Simpson Smith; and his son Francis M. "Frankie" Smith, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Blanchard (Vente) and Linda Fowler; his grandchildren, Jason "Squirmy" Blanchard (Lisa), Jeremy Fowler and Melissa Fowler; his great grandchildren, Nicholas "BooBoo" Blanchard, Desiri "Blondie" Blanchard, Hannah, Kaylee, Haley, Aubrey, Bayley, Connor and Dawson; his niece Kaye Lawson; and his great-nephew Randall Smith.
