He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dr. Clyde Otamus Wells, Sr. and Carrie Allene Chapman; his wife Helen Wells; his daughters, Margaret Hayslip (Warren) and Janet Scarborough (George); his grandchildren, Greg Hayslip, Rachel Scarborough Wynne (Marshall), Katie Hayslip Hekking (Rogier) and Edward Scarborough; his great grandchildren, Jimmy Hayslip, Rose Wynne and Wells Wynne; his sister Elizabeth Wells Coggins; his stepchildren, Lynn White Montanari, Thomas White (Ashley) and Rotarian; his stepgranddaughter Marcia Harris Perlroth; his former wife Margaret Cecilia Ezell; his daughter Tina Chapman Wells; and his brother-in-law Henry Coggins. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
