She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Hunter, Sr. and Margarite Tyner Hunter; her husband James Joye Howle; her son James R. "Jimmy" Howle, Sr.; her grandson James R. "Richie" Howle, Jr.; and her siblings, Lucille Hunter Gainey, Lessie Hunter Ogle, George "Buddy" Hunter, Jr., Rhenn Hunter and Cullen "Gene" Hunter.

She is survived by: her daughter Judy Chastain (Robert); her grandson Clifton J. Howle; her great grandchildren, Jackson Howle and Coker Howle; her brothers, Allen Hunter (Lib) and Paul Hunter; her daughter-in-law Lynn Woodham; and her nieces, Pamela Ogle, Holly Ogle and Jeanette Atkinson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and in-laws.

Due to the current pandemic conditions and those with fragile health conditions, the family respectfully requests that strict social distancing measures be observed and masks are worn where appropriate.
