He is survived by: his wife Barbara Carter Dixon; his daughter Sue Ann James (Jeremy) of Hartsville; his grandchildren, John Robert "Robbie" Dixon, Sarah James, Hannah James and William James; and his siblings, John Dixon and Louise Dixon.
