He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oatzel Byrd and Elizabeth Winburn Byrd; his wife Betty Byrd; and his children, Robert Byrd, Wanda Byrd and Beth Byrd.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Earle (William) of Hartsville; and his grandchildren, Amber Timms, Brooke Humphries (Jon), Nicholas Timms (Lacey), Crystal Earle and Daniel Earle (Charlene).
A graveside service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church (1652 Mt Olivet Church Rd, Patrick, SC 29584).
