We are sad to announce that on July 28, 2020, at the age of 54, Walt Gaskins (Pamplico, South Carolina), born in Florence, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ruby Munn Gaskins, Theodore and Ethel Poston Wise. He is survived by: his parents, Rufus Burns Gaskins and Connie Wise Gaskins; his wife Rebecca P. "Becky" Gaskins; his children, Victoria "Tori" Gaskins, Allyson "Ally" Gaskins and Matthew "Matt" Gaskins of Lake City; his siblings, Tamra Floyd (Craig) of Olanta and Gregg Gaskins of Lake City; and his nieces and nephews, Emily Floyd Burns (Michael), Emma Claire Gaskins, Emory Floyd and Burns Gaskins.

Due to Covid-19, please use good judgement with social distancing and wear masks, during visitation and funeral services.

“I am so shocked and saddened to hear about Walt. He was a good friend of my sister Rhonda Kirby. We lost Rhonda three years ago this month. I know that it is no consolation to you, but I can picture them catching up in heaven having a few laughs. I remember him from high school being so funny and cute. My heart breaks for your family and I pray for peace and comfort for you all❤️”

“Becky, I am deeply saddened by this. Growing up, I spent more time with Walt than any childhood friend I ever had. We lived just a short bike ride or walk apart and spent many hours together. I am thankful for the many great memories filled with fun and laughter. I am also thankful I got to see Walt as a parent later in life as our daughters played on the same school teams.
