He is survived by: his wife Joye Bazen Smith; his children, Trinity, Trenton, Cabot and Temperance; his parents, Clarence Smith and Marilyn Smith; and his brothers, D. J. Smith (Laura) and Paxton Smith (Robin). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and 3 special great nephews.
