George Charles Calcutt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Charles Calcutt of Pamplico, South Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Luther James (Thelma Collins Calcutt); his siblings, Mary "Lib" Calcutt, James L. "Buddy" Calcutt and W. S. "Billy" Calcutt; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Calcutt and Nancy Morgan.

He is survived by: his nieces, Mary Frances Calcutt and Ginger Calcutt Williamson; his wife Renea Morgan Calcutt; his sons, Kevin Calcutt (Brenda), Brett Calcutt (Mary) and Rev. Cleve Calcutt (Vaughn); his grandchildren, Morgan Calcutt (Briana), Kim Sellards-Hood (Adam), Heather Sellards, Jackson Calcutt, Charlie Calcutt, Elise Calcutt, Judson Calcutt, Judah Calcutt and Lincoln Calcutt; his great grandchild Kaleigh Sellards; his siblings, Faye C. Gibbs (Wayne), Willie Joe Calcutt, Bobby G. Calcutt (Sue), Jakie O. Calcutt (Carolyn), Luther Ray Calcutt (Brenda) and Rev. Randall "Randy" L. Calcutt (Alice); his siblings-in-law, Joan Calcutt, Elizabeth Calcutt, Gordan Morgan (Dot), Steve Morgan (Dixie), Arris Morgan and Chauncy Morgan (Brenda); his cousin Dollee Turner; and his friends, Charles Munn and Ossie Coleman. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, great great-nephews and nieces, cousins.

“To Charles family, he was a pleasure to know and have as a freind. He always greeted with a Smile and a helping hand in any need. He will truly be missed in the town of Pamplico. The store was called Munn’s Hardware. But, the truth is Charlie’s and Ossie with their smiles,willing to assist you or the reason for shopping there. God is very proud to have Charles home and a member of this Heavenly family. Jo Finklea”
