It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Oliver Smith of Pamplico, South Carolina, born in Florence, Colorado, who passed away on April 15, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Oliver Smith and Evelean Humphries Smith; his children, Trent Jon Smith and Melinda Hope Smith; and his siblings, Lloyd Smith (Louis Smith), Vickie Matthews and Helen Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Grace Miller Smith of Pamplico; his sons, Paxton Smith (Robin) of Pamplico and Derrick J. Smith (Laura) of Evergreen; his daughter-in-law Joye Smith; and his siblings, Talbert Smith, Larry Smith, Oliver "Junior" Smith, Jerry Smith, Ada Jones and Sherry Carmon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
