Bobby Wayne Gibbs Obituary

The memory of Bobby Wayne Gibbs of Pamplico, South Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn J. Gibbs and Helen Cox Gibbs; his brothers, Donald E. Gibbs (Bobbie), Charles Gibbs (Barbara), Kent Gibbs and Dale Gibbs; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Calcutt, James L. "Buddy" Calcutt, W. S. "Billy" Calcutt, George Charles Calcutt, Luther Ray Calcutt and Willie Joe Calcutt (Peggy).

He is survived by: his wife Faye Calcutt Gibbs; his son Rodney Gibbs (Gaye-Dawn); his grandsons, Carson Gibbs (Sydney) and Collin Gibbs; his siblings-in-law, Bobby G. Calcutt (Sue), Jakie O. Calcutt (Carolyn), Rev. Randall "Randy" L. Calcutt (Alice), Joan Calcutt, Renea Calcutt and Brenda Calcutt; and his cousin Dollee Turner.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cain Calcutt Funeral Home (512 2nd Loop Rd, Florence, SC 29505). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church (263 W 7 Mile Rd, Pamplico, SC 29583). A burial was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
