She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Richard Gibbs; her parents, Luther Mixon Hicks and Pearl Conyers Hicks; her daughter Dana Helms; and her siblings, Elsie Carnell Stone, Bonnie Ruth Eaddy, Roy Hicks, Alva Hicks, James "Shot" Hicks, Tommy Hicks, Clarence Hicks and Larry Hicks.
She is survived by: her daughter Lynn Murphy (Todd) of Pamplico; her grandchildren, Brittany Collins, Rachel Desta (Aman), Lindsey Collins, James Murphy and Joshua Murphy; her great grandchildren, Carter Collins, Parker McDowell and Benjamin Collins; and her sisters, Anna Isgett (David) of Lugoff, Rebecca Gaster (John) of Pamplico and Shelva Freeman (Eddie) of Pamplico.
