It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Wayne Courtney of Pageland, South Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, George Courtney and Arvie Courtney of Monroe, NC.; his grandchildren, Courtney Sims Harvell (Patrick), Cami Rae Sims (Kevin), Grasun Elliott Gonzales, Gunnar Wayne Gonzales, Lucas Hampton Deese, Garrett Bob Deese and Samuel Jay Deese; and his brothers, Dennis Courtney (Denise) of Monroe, NC and Roger Courtney of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the High Point Baptist Church (16 High Point Church Rd, Pageland, SC 29728). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the same location.
