It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Elaine Smith of Pageland, South Carolina, born in Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Hazel Miller Marlow; her husband Alon Smith; her sister Norma Jean Herndon; and her great grandchild Phoenix Leitch. She is survived by: her children, Steve Smith (Monty) of Charlotte, NC and Nancy Benton (Charles) of Jefferson, SC; her grandchildren, Shannon Grant of Charlotte, NC, Lindsey Leitch of Charlotte, NC, Alon Smith of Charlotte, NC, Mason Benton of Lancaster, SC and Paige Allison of Jefferson, SC; and her great grandchildren, Jackson Grant, Levi Grant, Shelby Grant, Sidney Leitch and Lucas.
