She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Parker and Vernia M. Wall Pearson; and her siblings, John Thomas Parker, Jr. and Christine Austin. She is survived by: her husband David L. Marthers; and her children, James Scott Peeler (Tricia), Kevin Ray Chalk (TonJa) and Alisha Renea Seigle (Gerald).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brown's Chapel Baptist Church.
