She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Brown and Bertha Genobles Brown; her stepmother Nannie McBride Brown; her husband William Arthur "Dub" Spencer; her son James Thomas "Tommy" Spencer; and her siblings, Harold Brown, Fulton Brown, Ernestine "Teany" B. White Varner, Sherlon B. Wilkins and Ruth B. Fowler.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Spencer of Spartanburg and Dean Spencer (Debra) of Pacolet; her grandchildren, Adam Spencer (Tiffani) of Spartanburg and Jessica Spencer of Memphis, Tennessee; and her great grandchildren, Scarlett Spencer of Spartanburg, Sebastian Spencer of Spartanburg, Savannah Hull of Spartanburg, Madison Craig of Memphis, Tennessee. and Jaylynn Craig of Memphis, Tennessee..
