She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Thornton and Hisie Thornton; her son Tripp Jolley; and her brothers, Jackie Thornton and Horace Thornton.

She is survived by: her siblings, Jimmie Thornton and JoAnn Evans; and her close friend Ann Kelly. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
