He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Lott and Daisy Mae Hughes Lott; and his brothers, Clyde Hughes, Earl Lott and Clarence Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Hill Hughes; his daughters, Pamela Hughes of Pacolet, Kimberly McKnight (James) and Melissa Hughes of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, Martise McKnight and Makayla Hughes; his siblings, Paul Lott, Robert Lott (Jackie), Doug Lott, Melvin Lott, Ronald Sims, Michael Sims (Anita), Viola Broadus, Annie McBeth, Pearl Crawford, Shirley Rice, Joyce Ann Barbour (Sylvester), Debra Frederick (Rodney) and Robin Murray (Kenneth); his siblings-in-law, James Porter, Marjorie Smith and Joyce Hughes; and his aunt Viola Jones (Maurice). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
