He was predeceased by: his father George Means of Washington; his grandmothers, Ethel Means and Garner; and his siblings, Marion Means and Ella Mae Gist.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Pilgrim Means; his children, Deborah Ann Smith, Veronica Denise Davis (Rodney), Bronson Megal Means (Emily), Brio D. Means and Dock Pilgrim; and his sister Lois Harris. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and other nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
