He is survived by: his wife Arminta P. Owens; his sons, Derrick Chase Owens, MD of Dallas, Willie B. Owens Jr. and Greg T. Nell of Atlanta; his siblings, Sammie G. Owens of Bamberg and Ruth Owens Butts Harvey (James) of Orangeburg; his granddaughters, Lauren B. Nell of Athens, Greece and Jessica M. Nell of Atlanta; and his brother-in-law Benjamin Partridge of Allendale. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
