It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Edward Brant of Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertie Brant and Lillie Mills Brant; his son Larry Davenport; and his brothers, Eugene Brant, Fred Brant, John Henry Brant of George Brant, B. L. and James Brant.
He is survived by: his wife Devone Brant; his daughter Robin Johnson (Jimmy); his granddaughter Nichole Johnson Hudgens (Joshua); his great grandchild Caroline Hudgens; his siblings, Roger Brant (Mary), Gertrude Thompson, Betty Carson, Mary Cunio and Gloria Chapline; and his siblings-in-law, Geraldean Maples and Freddie Joe Shular (Annaree). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and special friends and his beloved fur baby.
