With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernesta Thompson of Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Salley and Bertha Perry Salley. She is survived by: her daughters, Frankie Thompson and Sue; her son-in-law Arthur King of Atlanta; and her grandchildren, Lakeyia, Ivy, Edward, Yanneka and Arthur II. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with many other loving friends and family.
