She was predeceased by: her mother Celester Stone Rutland; and her husband Garry Williams Murphy. She is survived by: her father Edgar Cecil Rutland, Jr. of Orangeburg, SC; her son Lester Brandon Murphy (Amanda) of Round; her grandson William Murphy; her sister Melissa Rutland Burke (Michael) of Hoover, AL; and her nephew Austin Burke. She is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home (1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
