It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lee Austin of Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rubin Austin and Margaret Poole Traynam; his grandson Jacob McLellan; and his brother Gene Austin. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnson Austin; his daughters, Sheryl Austin McRoy (Patrick) and Jackie Austin Hair (Chris); his grandchildren, Jordan Gallman (Kyle), Kasey Hair and Austin Hair; his great grandchildren, Rowan Gallman, Holland Hair, River Gallman and Ryan Gallman; and his brother James Austin (Marie).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (3144 Cordova Rd, Cordova, SC 29039). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
