She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary "Bunk" Bolen and Jack Bolen; and her sister Jackie Bolen. She is survived by : her husband Bryan Connelly; her brother Dan Bolen (Debbie); her children, Kevin Nettles (Rene), Vicki Joye (Adam), Kim Stone (Adrian) and Karen Hughes (Joe); her grandchildren, Grayson, Austin, Jack, Kayla, Megan, Drew, Jaylan and Ethan; her great grandchildren, Ava, Dominic, Presley and Gaia; and her close friends, Charlene and Heyward Rowell.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dukes-Harley Funeral Home (3379 Columbia Rd NE, Orangeburg, SC 29118). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. George Baptist Church (2590 Shillings Bridge Rd, Orangeburg, SC 29115).
