She was predeceased by: her parents, L. C. Carson and Louise C. Carson; her daughter Linda Renee; her former husband Henry Bonnette; and her husband James L. Hardee.

She is survived by: her children, Henry E. "Eddie" Bonnette, Jr. (Tommie), Leslie "David" Bonnette (Amy) and Lisa Bonnette Treadaway (Tim); her sister Susanne Chasten (Hugh); her stepsons, James L. Hardee, Jr. (Jimmy) and Gary Hardee (Ginger); and her close friends, Joyce Austin and Sissy O'Cain. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two nephews; a niece.
