He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wisher and Carrie Lee Benton Byers; his daughter Donna Moreno; his great grandchild Carson Wisher; and his siblings, Lee Martin, Crawley Wisher, Marie Porter and Dot Guffey.

He is survived by: his wife Janie Smoak Wisher; his children, James "Jamie" Wisher (Katrina), David Aubrey Smith (Kaye), Angie W. Moreno and Stephanie W. Zorn (Jerry); and his nieces, Robin Heffner (Geoffrey), Wanda Lemons and Rita Oaks. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Smoak Family Cemetery (148 Smoak Cemetery Rd, Cordova, SC 29039).
