It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jacqueline LaFaye Benjamin (Orangeburg, South Carolina), born in Hawkinsville, Georgia, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Lockhart, and Evelyn Lockhart, Jr.; her husband James Benjamin; her brother Anthony Lockhart; and her close friend Linda Kay Conway.
She is survived by: her daughter Ebony Benjamin (Lewis); her brother Demetri Lockhart; her uncle Willie James Mayo; her grandchildren, Arianna, Erin, Lewis, Jr. and Lavarius; her nieces and nephews, Jacobia, Warren, Demetri, Jr., Julia, Dinetrica, Autumn and Antwanette; and her godson Orlando Haynes. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
