It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Dexter Rooney (Orangeburg, South Carolina), born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Rooney and Edna M. Thomes. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette M. Rooney; his children, Frank Rooney, Jr., Richard Rooney (Karen), Lori Stealey (Robert) and Justine Caffery (Hank); and his brother David Rooney of Massachusetts. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
