Esther DeHay Gardner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther DeHay Gardner in Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Esther DeHay's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Esther DeHay has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She is survived by: her husband Larry; her sons, Lonnie Gardner and John Gardner of Holly Hill; her sister Minerva McLendon (Dan) of Anderson; her brother-in-law Linwood Ackerman of Inman; her niece Deanna Mutz (Chuck); and her nephew Richard McLendon of Anderson. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church (229 Bethlehem Rd, Holly Hill, SC 29059). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
