She was predeceased by: her parents, Reeves Colter and Lena Jennings Colter; her husband McCoy Wright; and her siblings, Hazel Colter, Louie Mae Glover, Malichi Colter and Reeves Colter, Jr..

She is survived by: her sister Sallie Dell Carter of Orangeburg, SC; and her nieces and nephews, Ernest Carter, Jr. of Orangeburg, SC, Erskine Carter of Bamberg, SC, Joyce Lockard of Orangeburg, SC, Willow Davis of Delaware and Vivian Marrero of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by grand nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
