He was predeceased by: his parents, Asbury Thompson and Lizzie Mae Jones; and his siblings, Maria Lockard, Shellie Miller, Thermall Thompson and Douglas Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Iris Godwin-Thompson; his children, Tasha Thompson of Orangeburg, S. C., LaMonica Thompson-Stewart (Shawn) of Orangeburg, S. C., Tomika Thompson-Miley (Terrance) of Gaston and Evan LaTroy Thompson (LaVerna) of Orangeburg; his siblings, Carolyn Simpson of Orangeburg and Charlie Riley of Silver Springs, Maryland; and his sister-in-law Martha Spells-Thompson of Orangeburg. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
